Charlie Clark celebrates 98th birthday in style
At the Nutmeg Lanes, the Tashua Knolls Senior Men’s Club Bowling League celebrated the 98th birthday of Charlie Clark.
Clark had a three-game series of 414, showing that you can get better as you age.
There has been no bowling of the Tuesday League for four weeks, due to the snow and the holidays. The league will resume on Jan. 7.
The Friday League as of Dec. 27, has Team 10 (Beecher Taylor, John Cowan, Bob Vagnini, Mingo Decosta and Ray Saksa) in first place by one point.
The high scratch single was Bob Oleyar at 257, and Clint Vogel the three-game series with 659. The single game with handicap was Oleyar at 282, and the series with handicap was Vogel at 725.
Art Pranger is now the league’s individual high average leader at 187.
