The unbeaten St. Joseph High boys basketball team completed a sweep of out-of-state opponents when coach Chis Watts’ Cadets defeated LaSalle Academy (N.Y.), 76-57, in the second round of the Northeast Christmas Classic played at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport on Friday night.

Quincy McKnight was tourney MVP, and was joined on the all-tournament team by Erick Langston and Jake Pelletier.

McKnight scored 25 points in the final and Pelletier had 18, including three 3-pointers.

The Cadets (6-0) surged to a 16-7 lead over LaSalle (8-3) after one quarter and extended their lead to 40-23 at the half.

St. Joseph defeated Monsignor Farrell (N.Y.) by a score of 72-56 on Thursday.

McKnight scored 23 points, Jonathan Dzurenda 14 and McKnight had 10 rebounds.

Pelletier had eight points and seven steals.
