The St. Joseph High girls basketball team lost a 52-48 decision to Fairfield Ludlowe in Trumbull on Wednesday night.

Shannon O’Meara scored 21 points on seven 3-pointers. Bridget Sharnick scored 11 points and Maite Gritsko eight.

“We let them get ahead of us (19-4) after one quarter when didn’t get back on defense,” Cadets’ coach Chris Lindwall said. “But hats off to the kids in the second half. I’m proud of how they responded.”

St. Joseph played the Falcons to a 13-13 tie in the second quarter and trailed 43-28 after three periods.
