Connecticut Audubon Society teacher-naturalists lead scouts on a hike through the Larsen Sanctuary all while satisfying badge requirements, journeys, and achievements Saturday, Nov. 9, 9-noon, 2325 Burr Street.
Badges addressed are:
Cub Scouts: Tiger (Let’s Go Outdoors), Bear (Sharing Your World with Wildlife), and Webelos (Naturalists);
Boy Scouts: Bird Study;
Brownie Bugs and Brownie Hiker, Junior Animal Habitats. These programs tie into Girl Scouts taking their Journeys through, “It’s Your Planet, Love It!” and/or “It’s Your Story, Tell It!”
Advance registration is required. Fee is $10 per badge per scout. Scouts are asked to dress for the weather and bring a water bottle and insect repellent.
