On Sunday, Nov. 10, at 2 p.m., in the Trumbull Library’s Community Room, there will be an author talk with Mitch Broder, Discovering Vintage New York. It is the first and only guide to the entire city’s timeless and quirky classic landmarks — from the Café Carlyle to the Carnegie Deli, The Four Seasons to Serendipity 3, House of Oldies to Gallagher’s Steak House, and the Oyster Bar to The Donut Pub. The book collects more than 75 spots that have lasted half a century or more. But it’s not a book of wistful nostalgia. It’s a celebration of the city’s gems.

Award-winning journalist and humorist Mitch Broder, who has covered the city for 25 years, spotlights 50 of those gems with entertaining profiles. He sheds new light on old favorites and, in some cases, dispels urban legends. It makes the greatest city an even greater place to explore. Books available for purchase and signing.
