Alanna Lynch of Trumbull continued her strong play on the soccer pitch this fall, as a key member of the Smith College women’s soccer team. A first-year student at the NCAA Division III school in Northampton, Mass., the former Eagles' varsity goalkeeper won the Pioneers’ starting keeper position and ended the regular season with 114 saves in the net, leading the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC). Lynch, a linguistics/psychology major, started every game for the Pioneers and secured critical wins against Clark University, U.S. Coast Guard Academy and WPI.
