Holiday sale at Memorial City Hospital The Volunteers Service at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital will sponsor a holiday sale at the hospital, 921 Gessner Road, Nov. 15-16. The sale will be in the east\/west hallway from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. A variety of pecans, homemade items and cookbooks will be on sale. The highlight of the sale will be 30 hand-decorated Christmas trees offered in a silent auction. The trees are decorated in many themes and are suitable for dorm rooms, nursing homes, offices and hospital rooms. Spring Branch Library hosting children's activities The Spring Branch Memorial Library, 930 Corbindale Road, provides weekly activities for children, ranging from ages 0-12. Babytime, a storytime highlighting songs, bouncy rhymes lullabies and playtime, is held 10 a.m. every Tuesday for infants 0-18 months. Toddler Time, featuring singing and rhymes for children 18 months to 3 years, is every held 10 a.m. every Thursday. Preschool storytime, for children ages 3-6, is held 11 a.m. on Thursdays and is followed by a craft. Celebrate Children's Book Week at the library. Booths are available for $10. Hampton will supply seven tables for vendors on a first come, first served basis.
