TRUMBULL - Police have issued a traffic advisory for a march planned in town on Saturday.

The advisory, posted on the department’s Facebook page reads:

In response to a rally being held by some Trumbull citizens, the Trumbull Police Department has issued the following travel advisory for Saturday, June 27, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.. This is not a Town sponsored event.

The Trumbull Police Department would like to advise members of the public of March for Racial Justice and anticipated abundance of pedestrian traffic on lower Church Hill Road., and Edison Road. to Main Street this Saturday.

Traffic disruptions are expected between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., and motorists are asked to avoid these areas if possible.

The Trumbull Police Department will be in assistance in these areas and during these time to aid in the safety of the pedestrians, and assist with the flow of vehicular traffic.

Motorists could encounter possible delays if operating in the vicinity of these areas, and may wish to consider alternate routes during these times. The Trumbull Police Department also wishes to remind motorists in this vicinity to proceed with caution, and advise that any illegally parked vehicles, or those that pose a hazard to traffic, will be ticketed and towed.
