Some Connecticut state parks began closing before lunchtime Sunday, as residents headed outside on a weekend day that started chilly but was rapidly warming up under sunny skies.

Sleeping Giant State Park reported full parking around 10 a.m. Sunday.

Penwood Park in Bloomsfield and Talcott Mountain State Park in Simsbury both closed shortly before 11 a.m. Sunday when parking reached capacity.

Wadsworth Falls in Middletown, which reached capacity around noon, also closed on Sunday.
