Seniors and those who love them are invited to attend a four week series at Grace Episcopal Church, 5958 Main St., to meet others and hear inspiring stories about others who live longer and get stronger by adopting a variety of happy, healthy habits. The series will be held in the Lewis Hall Meeting Room Sunday afternoons from 1-3 p.m., April 7, 14, 21 and 28. Watch an inspiring documentary about senior Olympians; listen to local happy and healthy speakers; participante in a laughing yoga session to get your endorphins hopping; learn about the daily habits of centarians around the world; enjoy a dance performance by a couple of competitive ballroom dancers in midlife and then take a group dance lesson with Kris, a Fred Astaire Studio instructor; meet the director of residential services from the Jewish Home in Fairfield and meet their resident dog; learn about the health benefits of keeping a gratitude journal and partake in a gratitude meditation. Come and meet others who want to live longer and get stronger, to smile, learn how to reduce stress, lower blood pressure, retain mental acuity, increase bone density and muscle mass and increase joy and happiness on a daily basis. Come to one or all sessions. The suggested donation is $3 per Sunday to cover the cost of handouts and coffee\/tea. To help us be prepared, call Maryann at 203-268-2809 to register for any or all of the sessions. Walk-ins are also welcome. For more information, visit gracetrumbull.org.
