WWE questions answered at Trumbull Library

The Trumbull Library, 33 Quality St., will host author Brian Solomon, former editor and writer for WWE, on Thursday, Oct. 15,  at 6:30 p.m.  Author of the book Pro Wrestling FAQ:  All That’s Left to Know About the World’s Most Entertaining Spectacle, Solomon had a seven year tenure at World Wrestling Entertainment.  He addresses the question of whether pro wrestling should be defined as a sport, an entertainment, or an art form;  suggesting it is, perhaps, a bit of all three.

From its origins in carnivals and sideshow attractions of the 19th century, right up to the multimillion-dollar, multimedia industry of the present day, and all the points in between, Pro Wrestling FAQ delves into the entire history and broad scope of one of popular cultures most enduring yet ever-changing spectacles. Solomon will allow time for questions and book signing and books will be available for sale.

The lecture is free and open to the public. Registration is requested and can be done through the library’s website www.trumbullct-library.org  or by calling the library at 203-452-5197.
