The Trumbull Nature and Arts Center (TNAC), located at 7115 Main St., Rt. 25, is offering the following programs. Space is limited. Visit trumbullnatureandartscenter.org for more information and to register. Pre-registration is required.

Come sit with us by the campfire and enjoy s’mores and intergalactic stories while members of The Astronomical Society of New Haven lead us in looking through telescopes to check out the moon, deep sky objects like galaxies, star clusters, and nebulas — and maybe even a few planets. This event will take place in clear weather only on Saturday, May 2, from 8-9:30 p.m.

All ages (7+ to view with telescope). Cost is $10 per family

ArtSmart Patterned Planters — A perfect Mother’s Day garden gift. Coffee cans transform into cool planters. Potting soil, flower seed packet and hand painted “garden marker” complete the gift. Tuesday, May 5, 4:30-6 p.m., ages: 7 and up. Cost: $15/child.
