The Trumbull Woman's Club held its regular monthly meeting on June 6 at Testo's Restaurant in Bridgeport with 26 members attending. A brief meeting to finalize programs and projects for the club year preceded the meal. The distribution of eight plants and gift baskets ended the event.
The Club recently presented its annual scholarships to three young women graduates from Trumbull High School.
Lia Horyczum, daughter of Michael and Michele Horyczum, who will be attending the Rochester Institute of Technology studying Liberal Arts, Exploratory Psychology and Teaching the Deaf, received $1,000; Martha Hegley, daughter of Maura Hegley, who will be attending Fairfield University studying Elementary Education and Library Science, received $500; Kelsey McKeon, daughter of Michael and Ellen McKeon, will be studying Arts at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, received $500.
