Tradition continues with 37th annual Harvest Festival Sept. 28 in Stratford

The Unitarian Universalist Church of Greater Bridgeport in Stratford returns to Paradise Green on Main Street, Sunday, Sept. 28, for the 37th year to conduct its annual Harvest Festival of Arts & Crafts from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

More than 60 artisans and crafters will display and sell their handmade specialties including home and yard decor, holiday decorations, pottery, hand painted furniture, hand stitched clothing items in wool and fabric, jewelry and accessories, natural personal care products, and much more.

Food trucks will provide a variety of cuisines to please all palates for breakfast, lunch and snacking. Church booths will offer baked goods, including homemade flavored cheesecake by the piece or in larger portions. There will also be used books, tapes and DVD’s, one of a kind attic treasures to browse, and a drawing for two piecework quilts. A children’s corner will feature games to occupy the younger set and there will be live musical entertainment featuring the UUCGB choir and other locally known entertainers performing from the gazebo throughout the day.

Admission to the Harvest Festival is free. The event takes place rain or shine. For further information, contact UUCGB, 275 Huntington Road, Stratford, or call 203-378-1020.
