Electric violinist for the space age — TLS concert series. Sunday, Oct. 5, 2:30-3:30 p.m. Caryn Lin will play her 4, 5 and 6 string electric violins. As she plays, recorded snippets of strings and voice play back in a continuous loop adding fascinating layers of sound, resulting in an otherworldly quality. Drop in.

Pets caught reading — Photography contest starts. Monday, Oct. 6.
