Shelton resident is production assistant in new off-Broadway play

Jamie Rose Bukowski of Shelton is a production assistant on Disenchanted, a new, off-Broadway production that opened the beginning of December.

Bukowski graduated summa cum laude from Pace University in Manhattan this past spring with an award for excellence in theater arts and technology. She served as stage manager for several productions performed at Pace and worked on sets at several theaters elsewhere in New York.

During the summer, she was stage manager for musical productions at Quisisana Resort in Maine.

The daughter of Lorraine Bukowski of Shelton and Leo Bukowski of Trumbull, she attended St. Joseph School in Shelton and Sacred Heart Academy in Hamden, before heading to Manhattan to study theater arts.

Disenchanted is a musical comedy that tells the stories of fairy tale princesses long after the honeymoons are over. Performances are nightly at the Theater at St. Clements, 46th St., between 9th and 10th Avenues.
