Restaurant participants announced — Spots still available for Trumbull Library benefit

The Trumbull Library Board of Trustees has announced a partial list of restaurant participants as part of the fund-raising event, “A Taste of Trumbull,” scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 6, from 5-7 p.m.,  at the main library, 33 Quality St.

The restaurants include: Marie’s Sandwich Shop, Cast Iron Chop House, Ten Asian Bistro, Mex on Main, Trumbull Pizza Company, Franco Gianni Restaurant, Trumbull Stop & Shop, Romanacci Pizza Bar, Sitting Duck Tavern, Chips Restaurant, Parallel Restaurant, Greenleaf Cafe & Layla’s Falafel, Upper Crust Bakery & Cafe, Old Towne Restaurant, Crown Pizza Restaurant, Trumbull Subway, Tashua Knolls Lane, Cheesecake Factory, Mici Asian Bistro, Vazzy’s Four Seasons, and Gioves.

A few additional restaurant spots are available. Any local restaurants wishing to participate can contact Joan Hammill at 203-268-0058.

A Taste of Trumbull will highlight local restaurants by serving a variety of appetizers, desserts, and wine from Trumbull restaurants and retail stores. Jazz pianist Steve Moran, an accomplished musician, will perform standards from The American Songbook at the event.

Tickets, in a limited supply, will be available for purchase through Monday, Oct. 31, or until sold out at the main library. Ticket price is $25 for single and $40 for a couple and includes refreshments and entertainment.

All proceeds from the event will benefit upgrades to the teen area in the main library on Quality Street.
