Law firms merge and expand offices in Trumbull

The lawyers of an old-line Bridgeport law firm have joined the Trumbull office of Goldman, Gruder & Woods as partners.

Attorney Bruce L. Elstein and his father, Attorney Henry Elstein, have closed their firm, Elstein and Elstein, P.C., and have joined Goldman, Gruder & Woods, LLC, the firms announced recently.

“We are thrilled that the principals of Elstein and Elstein are joining with us,” said Attorney Michael Goldman, of Norwalk-based Goldman, Gruder & Woods.  “The addition of these well-known attorneys will significantly increase our presence in the region and allow us to serve an expanding client base. To accommodate this growth of our firm, we are adding office space at our Trumbull location.”

The expanded Trumbull office, located at 105 Technology Drive, will have space for five lawyers, six support staff and a conference room.

Bruce Elstein, a Trumbull resident, will continue to focus on construction law, injury law, small and medium-sized businesses and related legal disputes, as well as other types of litigation. After graduating from Skidmore College, he earned his law degree at Hofstra University. He is admitted to the U.S. District Court, Connecticut, as well as Connecticut Superior Courts.

Henry Elstein, of Southport, will continue to handle a wide range of litigation and real estate matters. He earned both his undergraduate and his law degrees from Yale University and is admitted to the bar in both Connecticut and New York. As well, he earned an “A” rating from Martindale-Hubbell, a firm that publishes directories of lawyers and provides independent ratings.

The Elsteins will be joining Attorney Stephen Wright, a partner in the firm who practices primarily commercial litigation, bankruptcy law and debtors’ rights and is presently the firm’s resident partner in its Trumbull office.

“The Elsteins and Steve have worked together on a number of cases over the years,” said Attorney Kenneth M. Gruder. “With the three of them now in the same office, the resulting collaboration will provide clients with a level of experience and knowledge that, in my opinion, is unique in the region.”
