HobbyTown expands Fairfield store; grand re-opening Sept. 7

HobbyTown USA of Fairfield recently expanded the store by taking on space previously occupied by Stryker Martial Arts Studio, which relocated to the Black Rock Turnpike.

HobbyTown USA, which is located at the Fairfield Shopping Center, has been operating at its current location for seven years. The store is the largest toy and hobby shop in Fairfield County and specializes in toys, games, models, trains, radio control vehicles, science kits, arts and crafts supplies and much more.

“We are really excited to have the opportunity to expand the store, and we thank our customers for their support.” owner Marc Rosenblum said.

The store added 1,000 square feet, increasing by more than 30% in size.  The new space will be used to expand and deepen product offerings to better meet customer needs.

“Our customers have been asking for certain products which up to this point we have not had the space to carry,” Rosenblum said. “The new space will allow us to bring these products in.”

The new space will also provide the ability to host additional events. The store currently hosts weekly and monthly meetings of local gaming and modeling groups, and a semi-annual Model Contest. The store will host the first National Science Fair in January.

A grand re-opening is planned for Saturday Sept. 7, with a ribbon-cutting scheduled for 11 a.m., free prizes for the kids and special events planned.
