Trumbull High School hosted the ninth annual Dancing with the Stars fundraiser Friday, April 29.

The event, which has grown from a small gathering of 50 people to a community dance night attended by hundreds of local residents, benefits the MORE Group of Trumbull and the Masuk High School vocational program.

The party features dancing and a raffle, as well as giveaways, such as tambourines, guitars, light-up hats, glasses, and jewelry, that drive the event to a higher level of spiritedness.

Vinny Noce, owner of Vazzy’s Osteria of Monroe, has generously provided all attendees with a four-course dinner throughout the last decade and served more than 200 people last weekend.

Trumbull MORE is a social group comprised of young adults and adults with disabilities from the surrounding towns of Trumbull, Monroe, Fairfield, Stratford, Shelton and Bridgeport. Members meet each Friday night for evenings that include movies, dancing and music, games, group exercise and more. The group is also associated with Masuk High School’s special education program
