History Ablaze — Celebrate Halloween Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Historical Society,1856 Huntington Tpke., featuring a town-wide Jack-o’-Lantern contest and display of carved pumpkins on the grounds of the Abraham Nichols Park (behind the Historical Society), true tales of Connecticut’s haunted history with live storytellers, and festive fall refreshments. The event is from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person and sold at the door, day of. Carve a pumpkin to display at the event. Prizes will be awarded for various categories. All pumpkins must come with a non-flame light. No limit to the number of entries. Entries may be by an individual or represent a group/organization.
