Art, food and puppies at Milford's Walnut Beach Art Stroll

The next Walnut Beach Art Stroll will be Thursday, Oct. 17, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Area restaurants at eateries will be open, including Lazy Lobster, 6 Broadway, and on Naugatuck Avenue Aldario’s, Alfa’s and New Town Market.

On Naugatuck Avenue shops and galleries will offer the flavors of fall, and gift shopping for the holiday season.

Walnut Beach Creamery, 19 Broadway, offers hand-made gourmet ice cream with flavors including dark pumpkin, maple walnut and amazing grace.

Taste & See, 17 Broadway, offers gourmet confections and cupcakes.

Seaside Wines & Spirits, 38 Naugatuck Avenue, will be hosting a wine tasting.

Firehouse Gallery, 81 Naugatuck Avenue, will have a new exhibit “From Soil to Table,” which opens Oct. 10. The gallery will be open Oct. 17 from 7 to 8 p.m. All works are available for purchase.

There will be floral art at Wild Expressions, 16 Broadway, and a puppy parade. People may bring their puppy to Wild  Expressions at 6:30 p.m. Costumes are a must. People are asked to bring a donation for the Milford Animal  Shelter.

Singer/songwriter Kayte Devlin will perform after the parade at Wild Expressions.

Beach Gallery, at 2 Broadway, will host a Sea Glass Event. Visitors can try on silver wire-wrapped sea glass jewelry by Kim Fleming and Cathy Nolan, owners of “Peace of the Sea.” People who collect sea glass are invited to display or trade their sea glass.

Sobobo Gallery, 42 Naugatuck Avenue, will host an exhibit reception for October's artist, master sculptor Ivan Tirado.

Scoot & Paddle, at 28 Naugatuck Avenue, which has more than rentals of kayaks, scooters and bicycles, will be open too.
