The Trumbull Rotary Club has announced that applications are now being taken for the Len Germano Service-above-Self Scholarships. A total of $16,000 will be awarded to high school seniors who live in Trumbull.
“Emphasis will be placed on participation in volunteer activities,” notes Rotary Club President Deborah Cox. “However, the committee will also consider academic performance and financial need.” The minimum scholarship is $1,000.
Applications are available at the Trumbull Rotary website, TrumbullRotary.com. Select “Scholarships” under the About Rotary tab. The deadline for submission is Monday, April 18.
This year, Trumbull Rotary Club will be celebrating its 50th year of community service in town. Scholarship winners will be among 50 students who will be recognized over the next 12 months.
