Boys basketball: St. Joseph takes out Greenwich early

St. Joseph ran out to a 25-9 lead en route to a 65-42 victory over Greenwich High in Trumbull on Thursday.

Coach Kevin Wielk’s Cadets are now 6-1 overall and 5-0 in the FCIAC.

Greenwich is 4-3, 2-3 FCIAC.

Stephen Paolini scored 18 points with six rebounds and six steals.

Brendan Kade had 12 points with a pair of three-pointers.

Jason James scored 11 points with three assists and three steals.

Dan Tobin had eight points and seven rebounds.

Kyron Jones had five rebounds.

Greenwich was led by Oliver Milledge (11 points).
