Sunday, Dec. 23 at 4 p.m., Blue Christmas, A Liturgy of Remembrance of Hope: All are invited to a holiday service designed for those for whom the holidays might be difficult. If you have undergone a difficult loss, transition, or life change, the church cares about you and invites you to a special time of music and worship. This is a quiet, reflective service in the sanctuary by candlelight with piano music.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Family Service, 5 p.m., caroling begins at 4:45 p.m. All are invited to services celebrating the birth of Jesus: Festive Eucharist featuring choir, bell choir and trumpet.

Christmas Day, 11 a.m., for a quieter, less crowded Christmas worship experience, Trinity will offer a Festal Eucharist following the traditional English practice, for a brief, joyous eucharist with music and Christmas message. The Rev. Murchie will be at the piano and we will sing traditional carols.

 

Christ Redeemer Lutheran Church invites the members of the community to its Christmas worship services. The Christmas Eve candlelight service at 7 p.m., has a theme of A Light in the Darkness and includes traditional carols, a message to brighten the heart and provides an opportunity to light up Christmas by illuminating the manger. Christmas festivities continue on Christmas Day with worship at 9:30 a.m., which will also include traditional carols.

Mass will be celebrated at the Parish of St. Catherine of Siena, 220 Shelton Road, on Christmas Eve, Monday, Dec. 24, at 4 p.m.; prelude music begins at 3:45 p.m.

At 6 p.m., mass will be celebrated, especially for families with younger children. The parish Children’s Choir will sing, and prelude music begins at 5:45 p.m.

The Parish Choir, soloists and instrumentalists will provide prelude music beginning at 11:30 p.m., on Dec, 24. The Midnight Mass of Christmas will begin at midnight.

On Christmas Day, Tuesday, Dec. 25, mass will be celebrated at 8, 10 a.m., and noon. The parish will celebrate a festive mass with choir and instrumentalists at 10 a.m.

All masses will be held in the McClinch Family Center during construction on the Christ at the

Center sanctuary beautification project.

The Solemnity of Mary, The Holy Mother of God mass will be celebrated on New Year’s Day, Tuesday, Jan. 1 at 8 and 10:30 a.m. The Solemnity of Mary is a Holy Day of Obligation. For more information, call 203-377-3133.

 

Trumbull Interfaith Council meeting

Holy Hour for Life

The Parish of St. Catherine of Siena, 220 Shelton Road, Trumbull, will hold a Holy Hour for Life,

on Tuesday, Jan. 22, from 7-8 p.m. It will be a time of Eucharistic Adoration during which a

Pro-Life Scriptural Rosary will be prayed, and will conclude with Benediction of the Blessed

Sacrament. Everyone is welcome. It is especially for those who will not be able to travel to

Washington, DC, but would like to join in the prayers for and witness to the sanctity of life. For
