Carriella Borchetta wins three medals

Carriella Borchetta, 12, celebrates winning the first of three medals at the Special Olympics on June 9 at Southern Connecticut State University. Taking the silver in the 50M walk, she later earned gold medals in the softball throw and 25M walk. Carriella participated as part of the Westport Weston Family YMCA team. Carriella lives with Williams syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that causes medical issues and learning differences.
