Softball: Trumbull High defeats Stamford Black Knights

The Trumbull softball team defeated Stamford High, 13-2, on Tuesday.

With the non-league win, coach Jacqui Sheftz’ Eagles improved to 18-1 on the season.

They are 14-0 in FCIAC play.

Alexa Adinolfi was 3-3 with three runs scored. Delilha Destefano had three hits, including a pair of doubles, and drove in four runs.

Courtney Fairfield had three hits, including a triple, and two RBIs. Julia Huzi and Cassi Barbato had two hits a piece.

For Stamford, Amy Covino had an RBI in the first and Kim Saunders hit a home run in the fourth.
