Frenchtown students are working on acts of Kindness. There is a large blue postal mailbox in the lobby gathering random acts of kindness. Those kind acts are highlighted during our morning announcements.
Frenchtown will be participating in the Mileage Club/Final Mile this year. As of right now, we have almost 200 students signed up. The fall component of the club will run on Wednesdays and Fridays for four weeks (from Oct 25 through Nov. 17). Volunteers will help track student miles during recess. Kindergarten and first grade will run their miles around their playground, while second through fifth grade will run on the back track. The idea is for the running to last from five minutes to as long as the students want to run, (based on the day’s suggested laps).
Thursday, Nov. 2 will be a legal day dismissal at 1 p.m., for afternoon conferences.
Wednesday, Nov. 8, will also be a legal day dismissal at 1 p.m., but for evening conferences. No lunch will be served on these dates. Conferences are by appointment only and sign-ups were online.
The Frenchtown Fathers’ Club will be holding their first Parents Night Out on Saturday, Nov. 4. They will start with an exclusive showing of Bad Mom Xmas at Bow Tie Cinemas at 5 p.m., followed by an evening of food and fun at InSports from 7-10 p.m.
No school for students on Tuesday, Nov. 7, Election Day. Teachers will participate in Professional Development workshops.
Nov. 22 will be a legal day dismissal at 1 p.m., with no lunch served.

Parent-teacher conferences will take place at Middlebrook Elementary School on Thursday, Nov. 2, in the afternoon, and on Wednesday, Nov. 8, in the evening. Middlebrook will call early dismissal and lunch will not be served on Nov. 2, to allow parents time to meet with teachers.
We look forward to welcoming the Trumbull Rotary Club to Middlebrook Elementary School on Friday, Nov. 3. The Rotary Club will be providing dictionaries to our third grade students. Tuesday, Nov. 7 is Election Day. Middlebrook School will be closed. Teachers will have a professional development day.
The students and faculty will welcome and honor members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard on Friday, Nov. 10, for a festive Veteran’s Day celebration at 9 a.m. Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts are encouraged to come to school in their scout uniforms.
