The Trumbull High School Golden Eagle Marching Band will host its 34th annual Fall Classic competition at Trumbull High School on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 6 p.m. The Classic gives the award-winning band the opportunity to showcase its talent and host a large number of regional bands.
This year’s lineup will be slightly different as several other bands have been added to the program. In addition to the eight area high school musical units, Sacred Heart University will also be performing in exhibition. The event will also showcase Trumbull’s middle school bands performing the National Anthem at approximately 6:45 p.m.
The event will have vendors, food and other booths showcasing music and band-related merchandise. The Golden Eagles will perform their show ‘Metal Morphosis’ at about 9:15 p.m.
The band is 145 members strong this year and looks to continue its tradition of award winning performances.
The Trumbull High School Golden Eagle Marching Band is the largest program at Trumbull High and is nationally recognized in various events and competitions. This year’s show will be the public debut of the closing piece.
The Fall Classic is Trumbull High’s only home show during the marching band season. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $12, seniors and students, $8. Children under five are free.
