The Town of Trumbull’s annual Memorial Day ceremonies and parade will be held on Monday, May 30.
This year’s Memorial Day Parade theme “Honor their Bravery, Remember their Sacrifice” was submitted by Bridget Walsh, a fourth grade student at Daniels Farm Elementary School.
The Town of Trumbull, together with VFW Post 10059 and American Legion Post 141 will host the following events on Memorial Day:
The Vietnam War Memorial Ceremony will be at 7:30 a.m. at the Vietnam War Memorial site in front of Twin Brooks Park on White Plains Road.
The Memorial Day Ceremony to honor all deceased veterans will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the front of the Trumbull Town Hall.
The parade steps off at 10:00 a.m. from 6540 Main Street (Marissa’s) marches along Main Street and ends at the Trumbull Town Hall.
This year’s Grand Marshal is Captain James Morgia. Captain Morgia is a WWII and Battle of the Bulge Veteran. He received both the Silver and Bronze Star for bravery during the war.
