The Trumbull High boys lacrosse team opened up its season with a 13-8 victory over South Windsor on Saturday.
Junior Danny Hoffmann tied a school record with eight goals for coach Jim Kammerman’s Eagles.
Goalie Jake Bova notched 24 saves.
Mike Devito (2), Jack Fairfield, Spencer Biebel and freshman Andrew Tinnesz rounded out the scoring for Trumbull.
The Eagles will play host to FCIAC rival Wilton High on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at McDougall Stadium.
