Donate cell phone to help domestic abuse victims

Cell phone recyclingDid you get a new cell phone for the holidays? Unsure what to do with old cell phones?  The Nursery School at Congregation accepts donations of old phones and then they are used as a lifeline for domestic abuse victims.  The donated phones are reprogrammed and then turned over to the Center for Family Justice, an agency that assists victims of domestic violence.

The phones do not have to be in working condition.  Wireless Wizard, a Bridgeport-based cellular communications company cleans and refurbishes the donated phones for families in need at the center.  Phone accessories including batteries, chargers and headsets are accepted as well.
