The Emergency Medical Technician course at Trumbull EMS is designed for anyone interested in learning more about emergency medical services.
Each student upon successful completion of the class will be eligible to take the state certification exam.
As an EMT, students will possess the knowledge and skills necessary to provide basic life support to those who are sick or injured in a pre-hospital setting.
Certified EMTs work on ambulances along-side other EMT’s and paramedics. Many certified EMT’s use their skills in other healthcare and public safety jobs and settings.
Some of the topics covered in the classes include: Respiratory emergencies, cardiac emergencies, medical emergencies, traumatic emergencies, pediatric/geriatric emergencies, childbirth emergencies, vehicle extrication/hazmat emergencies and mass casualty incidents.
The class will be offered to those interested over the age of 16.

Seating is limited to the first 18 students who are paid in full. All registrations and payment should be received by Monday, Jan. 12, 2016.
Class tuition is $900 ($800 for Trumbull resident with proof of residency) which includes book and CPR Card.
The course begins Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016 and will run through Thursday, April 14, 2016.
Students will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and every other Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at our Trumbull EMS headquarters located at 250 Middlebrooks Avenue.
