The Kennedy Center’s 51st annual Four Seasons Ball drew more than 150 guests who danced to the music of Cracked Ice and played Pink Panther themed games at the Rolling Hills Country Club in Wilton.
This successful charity event raised nearly $90,000 for The Kennedy Center’s residential services for people with disabilities. Since its inception in 1965, the Four Seasons Ball has contributed more than $2 million to The Kennedy Center and is one of the longest running, most popular charity galas in Fairfield County.
This year Barbara Green of Milford was honored for her dedication to improving the lives of people with disabilities affiliated with The Kennedy Center and her generosity as a community leader. Attorney Green has been associated with the Law Firm of Green and Gross, P.C. in Bridgeport since 1990 and has been a partner for nearly 20 years. As an amazing, lifelong volunteer with The Kennedy Center, she has been a strong advocate and inspiration. Following in her parents’ footsteps, she served as Chairman of the Board from 2003 to 2005, numerous board committees, and presents annual discussions for Caregiver Support Groups. In addition, she is Chairman of the Board of Directors for the International Institute of Connecticut and volunteers with the Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven in many capacities.
The ball was co-chaired by Robert and Barbara Scinto of Fairfield, while the chair of the Tribute Journal was Eric Gross of Bridgeport.

As part of evening’s festivities, special funds were collected for the renovation of the Dan Smith House in Monroe. This residential group home needs many renovations including: the kitchen, appliances, linoleum flooring, a fresh coat of paint, and total window replacement.
The Kennedy Center, founded in 1951, is an internationally accredited, non-profit, community-based rehabilitation organization that currently serves 2,400 individuals annually. The agency actively responds to the needs of the community by offering innovative, comprehensive service options to persons with disabilities and special needs, from birth to senior years. The Kennedy Center operates 30 community experience programs, 16 group homes, an industries program composed of six businesses, supported and competitive employment and job placement services, a family support and respite service, travel training, and a variety of children’s programs.
