Bruce Eddy, 77, died November 11, 2015 in Manhattan Beach, California, following a respiratory illness.
Born in Bridgeport and raised in Trumbull, CT, the son of Waldo and Hazel Eddy, Bruce graduated from Bassick High School in Bridgeport, attended Dickinson College in Pennsylvania and served in the US Army in Washington DC.
His interests included jazz music (he was a drummer), sports car racing, sailing, golfing and hunting. He moved to California in 1963 and worked for IBM, Transco Products, Hughes Aircraft and retired from Boeing. He was also a devoted volunteer for the Manhattan Beach Police Department.
He is survived by his wife, Kathi; his two daughters, Gretchen Eddy and Megan Eddy, his sister, Katherine Parker, her two daughters, Trina Cardinal and Sharon Christie and their families, as well as many close friends.
A celebration of Bruce’s life is being planned for early 2016.
