Residents can help support The Center for Family Justice by participating in Sunday’s Ride Against Child Abuse motorcycle Poker Run. The Center for Family Justice provides free, confidential, bilingual crisis services that help people plagued by domestic and sexual violence restore their lives. The center has an office in Monroe Town Hall.
Anyone who attends the Ride Against Child Abuse on Sunday, May 17, will be entitled to purchase VIP bracelets in the Lead Reserved Section for this year’s 15th annual CT United Ride in August.
Several hundred riders are expected to gather this Sunday and ride 50 miles through Fairfield County , starting at the Center in Bridgeport, traveling through Fairfield, Easton, Redding, Bethel, Newtown, Monroe, Trumbull, and ending back in Bridgeport at The German Club, in an effort to help prevent child abuse and domestic violence
Riders will stop at five pre-determined stops along the route where they will each choose a playing card, and the best Poker hand at the end stop will win cash and prizes.

Registration opens/ride starts 9-11 a.m., at 753 Fairfield Ave., Bridgeport. Lunch at The German Club is from 1-3 p.m. Prizes, raffles, food, music. Sponsors vendors welcome.
