Flower Power and Campfire and Fireflies Night at Nature Center

The Trumbull Nature and Arts Center (TNAC), located at 7115 Main St., Rt. 25, is offering the following programs. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required. Visit trumbullnatureandartscenter.org for more information and to register.

 

Flower Power

Sunday, July 13, 10-11 a.m. Students will learn to identify common local wildflowers and go on a walk around the TNAC grounds to collect flowers for crafts. Students will learn to press flowers and will take their crafts home with them. Ages 6 and up. Cost: $7/child.

 

Campfire and Fireflies Night

Friday, July 18, 8-9:30 p.m. Gather at sunset and learn about fireflies as we celebrate this curious insect. Learn why fireflies glow. Grab a net and jar before venturing into the summer night to participate in a friendly competition. Then gather ‘round the campfire for s’more making, storytelling, and much more on a summer’s evening. Bring a flashlight. Great for families with children ages 4 and up. Cost: $10 per family.
