The Great Minds Collection Art Exhibition at the Trumbull Library

Beginning Nov. 1 through May 2015, The Great Minds Collection: 35 Portraits of Transformational Figures, will be exhibited throughout the Trumbull Library. A collaborative project of Trumbull residents, Dick and Jane Resnick, and contemporary artist, Robin Morris, the collection is a series of large scale, stylized portraits of individuals, each defined as someone who has altered the human landscape, who has changed the way humans think, or what we think, or even how we think. The Trumbull Youth Department is offering Theatre Arts Winter Workshops on Saturdays., Jan 17-Feb 7. It will take place at Middlebrook Elementary School, 220 Middlebrook Ave. Theater for grades 1-3 are from 9:30-10:45 a.m., theater for grades 4 and 5, times are 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Cost is $70 (non-residents $90). Daniels Farm School Father’s Club will hold a Pasta Night on Friday, Jan. 30, at Daniels Farm School. Dinner served starting at 6 p.m., also with raffle and games. The Jane Ryan Father’s Club (“JRFC”) will host its 22nd annual Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, Feb. 1, at Jane Ryan School, 190 Park Lane. This is the longest running Father’s Club pancake breakfast event in the Trumbull’s elementary school system and over the years, we’ve developed a program that not only satisfies one’s hunger but need for fun. Frenchtown Elementary School will be hosting its annual Super Bowl Breakfast on Sunday, Feb. 1, from 9 a.m.-noon. Admission for the all-you-can-eat breakfast is $7 and includes pancakes, eggs, sausage, muffins, donuts, bagels, coffee, juice and more. In addition, there will be a raffle. Prizes are a 55-inch Samsung television, XBox One and Beats by Dre wireless headphones. Raffle tickets are $5 each.
