About 30 Trumbull Congregational Church members recently raised $3,800 in the Bridgeport Area Church World Services 5-mile CROP walk to fight against hunger in our community and the world. TCC’s enthusiastic group was well-stocked with signs made by Sunday school children.

Walk to fight against hunger

More than a dozen employees from Sun Products donated their time, effort and skills to beautifying the grounds of the Trumbull Nature and Arts Center (TNAC) on June 19. TNAC is grateful that Sun Products chose them as a recipient for their Culture Committee’s volunteer effort. The Sun employees joined TNAC volunteers to construct a children’s play garden, a fossil dig, an outdoor chalkboard and an outdoor xylophone. Sun donated money so that the TNAC could purchase materials for these projects. In 2009, Sun Products also donated funds and led the construction of the Full Circle Playground. This playground, made of 100% recycled plastic, is the centerpiece of the TNAC outdoor play area. These new additions provide further opportunities for children to enjoy themselves at the Trumbull Nature and Arts Center.
