Brandon Liscinsky and Brandon Fulco placed fourth and Erik Mercado took sixth for Trumbull High at the State Open Wrestling Championships held at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven on Saturday.
Liscinsky made it to the consolation finals before he had to forfeit his 126-pound match to Niko Stefanatos from New Milford.
Fulco took on Danbury’s Juan Garcia for third place at 160 pounds, and the Hatter won by fall at 1:59.
Mercado lost by third-period fall to South Windsor’s Thomas Anderson at 195 pounds.
Trumbull placed 14th overall. Danbury High won the team title followed by Windham.
