Corcoran tallies three goals in first period

Ryan Corcoran scored three goals in the first period to lead the St. Joseph High boys hockey team to a 7-3 victory over Stamford High on Wednesday.
Mark Laoue opened the scoring for the Cadets (13-4-1) against the Knights (6-9-1).
Corcoran tallied the next three around a Stamford goa,l with assists coming from Zach Usinger, Colin Powell and Matt Greenhut.
It was 4-2 in the third when St. Joseph’s Dominic DeRosa scored off assists from Sean Hurley and Andrew Gore.
Christian Keator and Dominic Sidorczuk scored the game’s last two goals.
Greenhut, Alex Crespino and Chris Kirven had assists.
Marc Van Etten had 25 saves.
