Verdeschi, Cordone lead in average

Tashua Knolls Senior Men’s Club results as of Jan. 29 at the Nutmeg Lanes for the Tuesday Tashua Men’s League finds Team 8 (Mario Biganti, Bill Mitchell, Harry Gable and Ray Saska) increasing its first-place lead to 20 points.
The high scratch single was by John Verdeschi at 227 and the three game series with 667.
The single game with handicap went to Leo Machado at 255 and the series with handicap to Verdeschi at 712.
The high average for the league is now Verdeschi at 185.
The Friday Men’s League as of Feb. 1 has Team 2 ( Beecher Taylor, Jim Bergmann, Lou Scanzillo, Angelo Cordone and Joe Alarcon)  in first place by seven  points.
The high single scratch was Art Pranger at 225 and the three game series went to Carl Bluestein with a 604.
The high single with handicap was Jack Bottaro at 268 and the series with handicap at 739.
Cordone is the league’s high average for the season at 189.33.
