Marching band takes honors in Arizona

During the recent school break, the Trumbull High School Golden Eagle Marching Band

 

made a trip to Phoenix, Ariz. to participate in the Fiesta Bowl Parade Dec. 29 and The Battle of the Bands Field Competition Dec. 30.
The Battle of the Bands pitted the Eagles against high school bands from across the country. Trumbull brought home the Audience Appeal Award for most entertaining band, first place for color guard and second place for drum majors and fifth place in the Overall Grand Master Trophy.
Following the competition, band members spent a few days sightseeing, including

visits to the Grand Canyon and Sedona, Ariz.
The band is now preparing for the Winter Percussion and Winter Guard competitions taking place at Trumbull High on Feb. 9, the World Guard International Color Guard Regional competition March 2, the WGI Percussion Regionals and the MAC Guard Championships on April 6.
