Trumbull Arts Commission seeks literary competition entries, open to the public

The Trumbull Arts Commission is seeking writers from elementary grade 3 to adult of all ages to submit previously unpublished works in the categories of fiction, non-fiction and poetry. Once received, the entries are sorted and distributed to the panel of judges with the names of the authors removed for anonymity.

All winning entries will be published in the 2016 edition of PENWORKS, the literary magazine of the Trumbull Arts Festival. Every year the winning writers have the pleasure of becoming published authors.

The winners of the 2016 competition will be honored during the awards ceremony to be held in the Community Room of the Trumbull Library, 33 Quality St.,  on the day of the Trumbull Arts Festival, Sunday Sept. 11 at 10 a.m.

Applications can be downloaded at trumbull-ct.gov, or on the Trumbull Arts Commission page: trumbull-ct.gov/filestorage/7112/7142/2016_Arts_Festival_Literary_Competition_Application.pdf
