Obituary: Elizabeth (Dickenshied) Neumann, 92, of Trumbull

Elizabeth (Dickenshied) Neumann, age 92, of Trumbull, passed away July 11, 2013 at Bridgeport Hospital.

Mrs. Neumann was born in Crackersport, PA and was a longtime Trumbull resident.

She proudly served our country as an Army nurse during WWII in the Philippines. She worked at Harper Hospital in Detroit, and at Bridgeport Hospital. She later worked at St. Joseph Manor in Trumbull where she served as a head nurse.

She was an active member of the Trinity Episcopal Church Nichols, Pinewood Lake Assoc. and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed her Friday mornings at Headliners in Trumbull where she socialized with patrons and friends.

She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her beloved husband Lawrence Neumann of Trumbull ; three loving children Lynda (David) Ames of Horseheads, NY, Charles (Robbin) Neumann of Watertown, CT and Lisa (Paul) Beaudoin of Norwich, CT; one sister Barbara Hemstreet of Easton, PA; six grandchildren Heather Booth, Jennifer (Darren) Cole, Justin (Ashley) Neumann, Erin Neumann, Sarah Beaudoin and Jessica Beaudoin ; one cherished great-granddaughter Kaitlyn Marie Neumann and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday July 20, at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church 1734 Huntington Turnpike Trumbull with the Reverend Ellen Kennedy officiating. Inurnment to follow in the Memorial Garden with full military honors.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church. Arrangements in care of the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull.
